The Emerging Markets in Videogames Symposium is a unique all day event as part of Games Beyond Entertainment Week.
This event is dedicated to exploring new and non-traditional market opportunities for videogames and videogame technologies such as new geographies (e.g. the BRIC: Brazil, Russia, India, China block), consumer types (e.g. Seniors, or Gamer Parents), new hardware platforms (e.g. Zeebo or PlayPower), or new forms of experimental play.
The goal of the symposium is to provide a forum where those working on outer less-established edges of the games industry can gather to showcase pioneering efforts, niche areas of activity, and share stories of survival and growth.
We hope to spur further innovation and strengthen those post-emergent but still young areas of activity such as serious games, ARGs, and more.
